Ikorodu City FC will face Green Beret FC of Kaduna in the round of 64 of the 2024 President Federation Cup on the 1st of May, 2024 by 2:00pm WAT at the Kwara Sports Complex.
Formerly called the FA Cup, Aiteo Cup, Federation Cup and just recently changed to the President Federation Cup, Ikorodu City will be taking part in the competition for the second time in their history and a second consecutive time in three seasons after being founded in 2022 January.
Green Beret FC is a team of the Nigerian Army that gained promotion to the second division, the Nigeria National League (NNL) in 2018.
However, Green Beret relegated from the second division to the Nationwide League One (NLO) at the end of the previous season (NNL22/23), finishing bottom with 7 points from 10 games after the regular season, only managing 1 win and 4 draws in the Northern Conference group A2.
The winner of the fixture will progress to the round of 32 of the President Federation Cup and the winner of the tournament will represent Nigeria at the CAF Confederation’s Cup next season.
