The Nigeria Premier Football League matchday seven clash saw us travel to Bayelsa to face Bayelsa United in what was a tight 1-1 clash at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.

LINE UP: Michael Atata; Junior Christian, Alfred Odinaka, Gift Udoh, Ayomide Abatan; Kelechi Onwe, Tosin Oyedokun; Joseph Arumala, Naheem Odugbemi, Goodluck Anuba.

The first ten minutes of the game had us in total dominance, leaving the home side shell shocked at our performance. Uche had the first shot at goal but a deflection took the sting out of it and made it easy for the keeper. Naheem was the second to have a shot at goal but his close range effort was slightly off target.

It was the home side however who went into the lead when a chance broke behind our defense. Michael was beaten and we fell behind.

Double substitution afterwards saw Musa Maliq and Tomisin Adebayo come on as the first half wore on. Tomisin almost had an instant impact as he hit a long range effort that beat the goalkeeper but just slightly off target as the half time whistle came.

The second half saw more changes as the home side dominated the restart. It however became balanced eventually as we started asking questions.

The breakthrough came eventually after a good run to the byline from Joseph before cutting back for Musa Malik whose goal-bound strike was handled by a defender. Tosin took the penalty and the initial strike was saved but he tucked in the follow up.

The final minutes were tense and nervy and Michael Atata was called to action a few times and he was equal to the task as we settled for a draw.
