After two weeks on the road, trips to Benin and Lafia, it’s home time, and yes, that means Matchday at the Arena.

Lessons were learned from the games against Bendel Insurance and Nasarawa United. Now it’s about correcting the mistakes and getting back on track.

Next up is Rivers United on Matchday 30, at home, as we look to return to winning ways. There are nine games left before the season ends, and they are more crucial than any that have come before.

Starting with Rivers United, each one carries even greater weight. There is no room to slip, and certainly no room to relax.

Facing Rivers United

We faced Rivers United in Port Harcourt on Matchday 10 and earned a point in a game that ended goalless, with Michael Atata producing moments of heroics on several occasions.

That draw was an obvious confidence booster early in the season. Not many teams go to Port Harcourt and come away with such a result.

Now we are back home to face them again, and this time a win is all that matters. It is essential to take all three points, even though we know how strong they are at this stage of the season.

But it is not the first time we have picked up wins against opponents who seem difficult to break down. Against Rivers United, the aim remains the same, to find a way through and come out victorious.

Team News

Ayomide Cole is back from injury, but this game comes too soon for him.

The squad is boosted by the return of Gift Udoh but Alfred Odinaka remains unavailable due to personal reasons.
