We picked up our first win of the season to the joy of our home crowd as we defeated newcomers Barau FC 2-0 on matchday four of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season, courtesy two second half goals from substitutes.

LINE UP: Michael Atata; Junior Christian, Alfred Odinaka, Gift Udoh, Ayomide Abatan; Kelechi Onwe, Dagogo Ibifubara, Moses Shodeinde; Musa Maliq, Taiwo Alao & Uchechukwu Onyemaechi.

Just one change to the side that picked up a draw away at Shooting by Stars the previous week, goalscorer Shola Adelani was unavailable due to a knock and was replaced by Taiwo Alao.

A nervy and unbalanced start to the game it was for us, dominating albeit unable to create clear goalscoring opportunities. Taiwo Alao was replaced midway through the first half as captain Waliu Ojetoye returned to the team for the first time after the move to Israel.

The first half brought no goals and the start of the second half saw a triple change, Cole, Tosin and Joseph came on, changes that brought corresponding changes to the game.

The chances began to come just before the hour mark. Musa Maliq was denied first and the Joseph Arumala. The latter was however not to be denied a second time, heading us in front off a header back into the danger area from Odinaka.

Few minutes later, Uche found Cole in behind the defense and the striker made no mistake, firing past the goalkeeper to double our lead.

From then on, it was a comfortable ride to the final whistle as we picked our first three points of the new season.
